Life in Red Color

Red has more personal associations than any other color. Recognized as a stimulant red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived. Red draws attention and a keen use of red as an accent can immediately focus attention on a particular element.

How the color red affects us mentally and physically?
  • Increases enthusiasm
  • Stimulates energy
  • Encourages action and confidence
  • A sense of protection from fears and anxiety
  • Increases the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure
  • Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs (very important people)
  • In some cultures, red denotes purity, joy, and celebration
  • Red is the color of happiness and prosperity in China and may be used to attract good luck
  • Although not normally considered an ideal coupling, in combination with green, red is a Christmas color — a joyful season
  • Red color saves life.

Red color saves life? How? It’s just simple. Go to the experts. A simple prick of needle in your finger & hand (if you are eligible). And you are ready to save life. Yes I am talking about donating the blood.

I am very proud to say that I am able to donate blood. And I thank God who has kept me healthy enough so that I can donate my blood and save life. (Till today I have donated blood for 8 times)
For those who are and aren’t afraid of donating blood following are the advantages of donating blood.

  • When a person donates blood, his/her bone marrow is stimulated to produce new red cells. This will make our blood forming organs to function more effective and active cells.

  • Blood donation is an excellent way to get rid of excess iron accumulated in our body due to its overconsumption. Excess iron in the body can stimulate the formation of free radicals, which are responsible for causing damage to body cells and tissues. Free radicals are also associated with many diseases like heart diseases and cancer.

  • Studies have shown that donating blood regularly can be beneficial for the heart and circulatory system and can reduce the risk of heart diseases, especially among young people.

  • Blood donation also burns the extra calories and reduces your cholesterol level.
General and Physical requirements of a Blood Donor:
  • Age - person’s 18 – 60 years can donate blood
  • Sex - both men and women are accepted as donors
  • Weight - must be at least 50 kg (110 lb)
  • Temperature - oral temperature must not exceed 37.5 C
